About
Alexey Gerasimov uploaded the first Skibidi Toilet video, an 11-second clip of a head popping out of a toilet and singing, to his channel DaFuq!?Boom! on 7 February 2023. It was made with Source Filmmaker, a free animation tool for Valve’s games, and set to a remixed pop song.
Episodes grew into a sprawling, serialised war story. By June 2023 the channel was the most-viewed in the United States that month, and by the end of the year it had accumulated tens of billions of views and was widely described as the year’s biggest online phenomenon. Michael Bay’s production company was reported to be in talks about a film adaptation in July 2024.
